The Cultural Center of Vrnjačka Banja is a public institution operating in the field of culture. It has a cinema-theater hall and a Castle of Culture with a gallery and museum space. All year round, it organizes top programs in the field of literature, theater, film, television, music, arts, publishing, and museology, namely:
- International Classical Music Festival – In addition to numerous concerts, the International Classical Music Festival includes an educational program with violin and chamber music courses.
- Screenplay Festival – The Screenplay Festival is held on the Vrnjačka Banja Summer Stage every August. A multitude of films has been shown for more than forty years. It all started in 1974 after a debate in the film public, which revealed the fact that screenwriting was the soft spot of domestic film and that the screenplay was not given deserving respect. At the time, there was a “Yugoslav Feature Film in Action” event in Banja, with its own expert panel participated by the authors and protagonists. It was, in a way, the cradle of the Festival. Those two facts – the crisis of screenplays in Yugoslav film and the existence of a film event in Vrnjačka Banja – were decisive factors in creating a real festival, clearly society-oriented and unique in the world – the Screenplay Festival. Thus, in August 1977, the “Yugoslav Feature Film in Action” (as the first festival was named) grew into a festival event, the panel discussion into a symposium, awards were introduced, bodies were formed, and the Festival was born. The initiators of the Festival were the Cultural Center of Vrnjacka Banja, the Screenwriters Association, and the Film Actors Association. The immediate initiators were Boško Ruđinčanin, Miomir Stamenković, Velimir-Bata Živojinović, Vasiljka Bogićević and Dušan Perković.
- Other cultural events: Events on the Vrnjačka Banja promenade, cultural events, museum exhibitions, theater performances, and film and music festival on the summer stage, are just part of the charm Vrnjačka Banja showers each of its guests with.
